Tried and True Methods For Taking Care Of Yourself
Share
Over the years, I've come to appreciate my ability to be consistently grateful for my life, family, and career. I've documented my journey through my first book entitled, Necessary Rebirths: A Collection of Poems and Prose for Awakening.
Additionally, I was a part of the digital brigade that successfully ushered in the transformation of digital advertising, marketing, and communications. (Also known as the millennial.) Along the way, I've met, collaborated with, and learned from remarkable people behind the scenes of many industries who are out in the world, walking what they talk. Together, we've survived, thrived, and flourished.
And each and every day of my career as a wellness entrepreneur -- I am happy to have the support, enjoyment, and care of customers and clients like you.
So, when I think about a fun give-away for the holidays, I can't help but put on my hat as a multi-hyphenate being who is a lot (i.e. philosopher, poet, writer, folk herbalist, fashion, wellness and lifestyle master, professional brand and communicator expert -- to get the ball rolling!
Here are a few of my favorite things for tending to ones body in the winter.
- Premium natural fibers like cotton, hemp, cashmere, and wool for everything bath, body, and home.
- Upgrading my body care to the Winters by the Fireside Daily Goodies Shower Set.
- Humidifiers around the house to keep my family's skin moisturized.
- Affirming myself and showing up to what I've planned for the day.
- A range of herbal teas, tinctures and nourishing foods that optimize health and well-being, daily.
- Daily stretching.
- Regular exercise to honor my body in all its glory. (That includes fitness, meditation, affirming and writing.)
- "Drinking my water, minding my biz" - To quote Beyoncé, and many other amazing Black women (including myself, moms, sisters, aunties, grandmothers) who have independently defined what it means to take care of yourself so that you can show up fully for those you know and love.
I'm wishing you all a wonderful end of year; wherever, however, you may be. And if you'd like to share what you're doing to take care of yourself, please leave a comment below.
