Summer 2023 - Travel and Packing List

Summer 2023 - Travel and Packing List

It's that time of year again when you need to pack for a summer trip. You will want to ensure you have all the essentials to enjoy your time away from home. Here are some tips on what to pack for your summer travel:

Sunblock, water bottle, sandals, sunglasses

Sunblock: Sunscreen is essential for staying protected from the sun.

Water bottle: You need water to stay hydrated, and a reusable water bottle makes it easy to refill your eco-friendly bottles at a water station or fountain when you're in transit.

Sandals: Sandals are great for walking around and on vacation because they make it easy to get through security without having to take off your shoes (if required). They also work well in hot weather because they allow air to flow between your toes while keeping your feet covered, so they don't burn on the hot pavement.

Striped shirt, loose-fit jeans, summer dress

On our summer excursions, we keep things light and airy and have found that a capsule wardrobe is best when in transit. We keep it simple with striped shirts, loose-fit jeans or shorts, and summer dresses as our main, breezy attire.

Phone charger, laptop charger

It's always a good idea to bring a phone charger. You never know when you'll be in an area with no or low signal and need to charge your phone. With the recent weather events, I recommend bringing a laptop charger as well.

It would help if you also considered bringing a backup battery or charging case for your phone to keep your device trusted while out and about during the day. This way, if the power goes out at home or work because of an emergency (which can happen), then everyone will still have access to communication tools throughout the day/night. Having to worry about finding another location where electricity is available for charging their devices again afterward is removed from the scenario.

An adapter for foreign plugs (check the specifications based on the country you're traveling to), will ensure that things like laptops won't get overheated from using them all day long while abroad since it'll help regulate how much power gets transferred between two different types of outlets.

Travel-size toiletries, makeup, and lotions

  • Travel size toiletries
  • Travel size makeup
  • Travel size lotions
  • Travel-size toothpaste and brush
  • Shampoo & conditioner in travel sizes (for long-term trips)
  • Shower gel (for short-term trips)

If you're only going for a few days, take what bottle of shampoo/conditioner you have at home and put it in a smaller container. But if you're staying longer than 5 or 6 days, bring one of the larger bottles from home and decant it into a smaller bottle (or buy cute, reusable travel containers). You can use the big bottle without worrying about running out during your trip!

The same applies to other products like face wash, body lotion, and more. Ensure that whatever product(s) you bring don't leak or spill easily before putting them in your bag!

We also can ship our products directly to your travel destination so they're waiting for you upon your arrival.

Remember to pack your essentials!

You're finally ready to pack your essentials! You've already got a well-curated list of clothing, but there are other must-haves you should never forget.

  • Sunblock: If you don't have this in your bag, what kind of summer vacationer are you? Your skin will thank me later.
  • Water bottle: Hydration is good for the soul. Keeping yourself hydrated will keep your mind sharp and ward off headaches. I love the Hydro Flask—it keeps drinks cold for 24 hours and hot beverages warm for up to 6 hours! Plus, they come in all sorts of colors, so they're fun to show off at parties too!
  • Sandals: Even if it's winter where you're going, chances are high that there will be beaches nearby with warm sand and clear water (or snow). These might be worth having just in case because who knows how long we'll be able to escape before our parents start asking questions again."

We've helped you with your summer trip planning! We know that traveling can seem like an overwhelming task, but with these tips and tricks, you'll be able to navigate any adventure.
