Self Care How Tos: Deluxe Shea Butter Body Scrub Tutorial

I have always appreciated the benefits of a good body scrub, and I use them regularly and enjoy the way they leave my skin feeling soft and smooth. And I am excited and thrilled to be able to create body scrubs for you. It's such a fantastic product that not only does it exfoliate your skin, but it moisturizes at the same time! Here's a step-by-step guide to using our Deluxe Shea Butter Body Scrubs in your skin care routines.

Step 1: Wet Skin

Before you start, make sure your skin is clean and wet. We recommend using either warm water or a shower or bathtub to do this.

Once your skin is wet, you can apply the scrub directly.

Step 2: Rub into the skin, making circular motions to exfoliate.

You'll need to use enough water to work up a lather to exfoliate more effectively. Rub our Deluxe Shea Butter Body Scrub into your skin in circular motions using your hands or a loofah sponge. You can also use a pumice stone, which you should rinse off the pumice stone after each use.

Step 3: Rinse and pat dry

  • Rinse away the sugar body scrub.
  • Pat your skin dry with a soft cloth, such as a towel or washcloth. Don't rub, as this can irritate your skin and cause micro-tears.
  • Do not use loofahs or rough sponges to wash off the sugar scrub; they will only irritate your skin further!

Step 4: Follow up with a moisturizer if desired.

Once you've scrubbed, it's time to moisturize. This step is significant if your skin is dry or sensitive, as it will help lock in moisture and protect it from environmental damage. If not using a moisturizer isn't viable, try incorporating exfoliation into your routine more often. While sugar scrubs can be effective on their own—and certainly have their place—they won't give your skin the same deep cleanse that manual exfoliation does.

This scrub will leave your skin soft and smooth.

To use the scrub, apply it to damp skin and massage in circular motions. Rinse well with warm water. You can also use it on dry skin as part of your daily routine to exfoliate before shaving or waxing.

Our shea butter sugar body scrub is made up of shea butter, coconut oil, salt, and sugar, giving you a sweet treat that's good for your body too! This combination will leave your skin soft and smooth after every shower or bath!

The best time to use this scrub is right after stepping out of the shower or bath because it will give you maximum benefits from using such an easy-to-use product! It works exceptionally well when paired with one of our other products like our whipped body butter or goat milk body lotion so make sure those are nearby too :)

It's essential to store this away from heat sources (such as windowsills), so its shelf life remains long-lasting!

We hope you enjoyed this tutorial and are ready to try a sugar scrub! Remember, it's super easy to make in your kitchen with just two ingredients. If you want extra exfoliation power, consider adding sea salt or coffee grounds when making your scrub. Happy scrubbing!
